When a sorting line routes a garment to reuse, the commercial work starts over: the garment is photographed again, described from scratch and priced by feel. The verified item record the line just produced contains most of what a listing needs, and it is discarded at exactly the moment it becomes commercially useful.
TexFile's resale layer keeps that record attached. It turns a verified record into outputs a resale or upcycling partner can use directly, and it does so under one rule that separates it from generative listing tools: every hard fact is projected from the record, and what the model may do is phrase it. It is resale automation grounded in evidence: the listing for a piece of secondhand clothing is assembled from the record, not from a new photo shoot.

Disclosed, approved, revocable
Every generated image carries a visible disclosure band burned into the pixels, as EU AI Act Article 50 requires. The band is part of the image, not an overlay a partner could crop away, and only disclosed variants ever leave the system.
Every generated asset starts as pending review. A named person approves, rejects or revokes it, the decision lands in an append only log, and a partner only ever receives media that is both approved and disclosed. Approval is a person's decision on record, not a model's output.
Reuse first, recycling with evidence
Resale and upcycling sit at the top of the routing ladder for used textiles because they preserve the most value: a garment sold again needs no new fibre at all. The resale layer exists to widen that top tier by making a reuse routed garment cheap to list and credible to buy.
What cannot be sold is not lost. A garment that fails the repairability check or finds no market moves onward to fibre to fibre recycling with its record attached: the recycler receives composition with provenance instead of a bale graded by eye, and the custody transfer is logged as an EPCIS event either way. Evidence raises the value of every tier, not only the top one.

What is textile resale software?
Software that turns a used garment into a sellable listing. Most tools start from new photographs and a description typed by hand; TexFile starts from the verified item record built at the sorting line, so condition, composition and measurements arrive as evidence and the listing inherits their provenance.
Are the prices AI estimates?
No. Real resale listings are retrieved and cited as comparables, and the price band and sell through estimate are computed from them by versioned arithmetic. The computation can be audited; a model never invents a figure.
How do buyers know an image is AI generated?
